Well we have been having a very lovely time here what with weddings & all!

Alison was able to host Anglo – French Guests here in our lovely family friendly cottages who were over to celebrate a local wedding and the sun managed to shine so everyone was happy!

Blake wooed them all and is now known as “Le chien noir” and I  was able to communicate via my usual barking which is universally understood!

Great news today for Bude our nearby town and lovely beach being voted 7th in the country – and also Padstow, Newquay & St Ives – all of them just down the coast from us – so proving just what a great base we are for you to explore Cornwall from………………………………. see article below:

The Hedgelayers have all gone now but they had a very productive time at Kirsten’s farm and her hedges & trees are still reeling from all the attention they have just had! Blake managed a visit whilst they were working to inspect what they were up to and gave it his seal of approval by having a wee on the hedge…………………….

My paw is still giving me a bit of a problem and apparently Alison’s knee is too so we are still walking wounded but happy anyhow!

Right off to find some more paint to splosh about!

Well, it has been an action packed & event filled few weeks!

Firstly I have very sadly to announce the demise of one of my colleagues & partners in crime, Sunset the Cat. Sadly he sustained some injuries last week from which he was unable to recover and so had to be put to sleep, we are all very sad and will miss him terribly and I am sure some of our younger guests will too

Yesterday my other Partner in crime, Blake caused my lovely mistress to trip & fall whilst out running and so she now has a mashed up knee and is limping about – to keep her company I have cut my paw so am also limping about looking pathetic – a fine pair we make!

However our regular group of Hedge-layers from Essex are staying  and they are busy working hard on Kirsten’s farm up the road and entertaining us in the bar each evening so not all doom & gloom at our dog friendly self catering cottages!

Before all of this the girls in the family went to stay with Aunty Sue to help her do a sponsored swim – they have helped raise nearly £5000 for Breast Cancer help & support, so well done them – they should have done it  in our lovely swimming pool – I suppose it could have been a bit chilly but not for long, spring is just around the corner with snowdrops, daffodils & primroses everywhere………………………

So a busy time for all, here’s to our swift recovery – Ruben limply out! x

Its been an action packed few days with the felling of one of the great Beech trees in the Adventure Zone- a real shame that it had to come down but would be far worse if it dropped on someones head! Alison took some fab pictures here’s one to whet your appetite but you can see more on the Glebe House cottages Face Book page – we are well and truly getting to grips with Social media ‘n’ stuff!

All good here at our dog friendly holiday cottages near Bude where my owners have been keeping very busy getting the cottages ready for the year. There is much swishing of paint brushes and flexing of the credit card to put up new curtains and plumptious cushions etc so all looking very lovely – shame I’m not allowed onto the furniture to try it all out – they spoil all my fun!

Mews cottage is the first to benefit from all this hard work and is looking gorgeous I’m sure you will agree?

Just checking in post the Christmas & New Year Celebrations to see how everyone is and to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

We had some smashing guests stay over the Festive period and we all had quite of lot of fun as you can see!

Bookings are going extremely well I gather, it must be my fan club all booking to come & see me – well they wouldn’t want to come and see the Blakehound now would they – well not wearing that wig!

Righto off to nab the comfy bed before the pesky Blakehound pinches it again…………..

Happy Christmas!

Well its all systems go here with baking & wrapping & a general air of business – as you can see I am managing to take it easy guarding the fire and trying to stop the pesky Blakehound barging in front of me!
