Tennis - Our all weather court is open for play all year round + There is a sports complex at Bude, offering Tennis, Squash, Pitch and Putt and Crazy Golf

Golf - Holsworthy Golf Club, Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club, Trethorne Golf Club amongst others offer fine facilities and a warm welcome to enthusiastic visitors.

Fishing - Sea Fishing trips are arranged from Bude Harbour, or Boscastle locally and fresh water anglers can fish on Bude Canal (permits available from local shops) which is well stocked and has an active angling society. The Simpson Valley Fishery near Holsworthy offers coarse fishing and fly fishing can be arranged at Crowdy reservoir, Sibblyback Lake, Colliford reservoir and Roadford. (all arranged through South West Lakes Trust)

Sailing - Local Tamar Lakes or tall ship sailing from Falmouth or Charlestown amongst many locations.

Surfing - Widemouth Bay, Crooklets Beach and Summerleaze beaches are our closest surfing beaches, all offering just what the keen surfer needs. Speak to www.shorelineactivities.co.uk or www.zumajay.co.uk, both in Bude.

Kayaking - As well as surfing the South West Lakes trust offers excellent touring facilities and kayak and canoe hire. Local kayak/canoe instruction from www.shorelineactivities.co.uk

Swimming - Our own outdoor heated pool awaits....why travel for a swim? The beaches at Widemouth Bay, Crooklets Beach Bude and Summerleaze Bude have RNLI Beach Life Guards on duty throughout the summer. Water quality is excellent. Throughout Cornwall you will find a huge variety of places to swim. Bude has an indoor swimming pool "The Splash" at Stratton, nr Bude.

Cycling - We are on route no 3 of the Sustrans National Cycle Network, or you can start off with an easy day out on the Camel Trail - following the old railway line from Bodmin to Padstow with cycle hire at Bodmin or the halfway point of Wadebridge. The Camel Estuary offers wildlife and plantlife in abundance, with Padstow to enjoy at the end of a very pleasant cycle. See the National Lobster Hatchery at Padstow, have lunch at Rick Stein's Fish Restaurant, or enjoy a real Pasty or real fresh fish and chips by the harbour. North of us, the Tarka Trail follows the Taw estuary.

Walking - The South West Coastal Path, Dartmoor and Exmoor are good starting points for keen walkers. A fine local walk is through the Bude Marshes along the canal or the Cornwall Way.
